"Materials Physics and Mechanics" journal accepts reviews and original papers written in English or in Russian. Please, attach the signed "Copyright Transfer Agreement Form" (see copyright_agreement_form.doc in the document list) at paper submission. Russian authors also should attach the "Expertiza Akt" certified by the institute (company) seal.

The procedure of paper submission is as follows: authors are invited to send their papers as Word rtf files to the journal editorial office using e-mail address mpm@mpm.ipme.ru with the copy to matphysmech@gmail.com. The received paper will be send to experts; according to their conclusion, the author will be notified on paper acceptance or rejection; or about expert suggestions on paper revision. After the acceptance notification, the author should send the final version of the paper both as rtf (Word) and pdf (use any suitable converter) files to the editorial office e-mail. The scanned versions of the "Copyright Transfer Agreement Form" and (if necessary) the "Expertiza Akt" should be attached to the e-mail message; the originals should be sent by regular post to "Materials Physics and Mechanics" Editorial Office, Institute of Problems of Mechanical Engineering, Bolshoj 61, Vas.Ostrov, St. Petersburg, 199178, Russia.

2. Paper organization

Use Times New Roman 12 font with single line spacing in all parts of the paper except Title, Affiliations and corresponding author e-mail. Use Italic font in order to stress something; if possible, please, use bold for headlines only. f

Subtitles. Subtitles within one section should be bold-font typed. They are ½-inch intended. In contrast to Section titles, subtitles have dot at the end and the after going text should be typed just after the dot. If possible, please, do not use second or third level subtitles.

We are recommending to the authors to print the final pdf file using some laser white-and-black printer in order to evaluate the publishing quality of the figures. Please note that the quality obtained will be some better than that at "camera-ready" printing. To obtain proper quality use file images with 300 dpi resolution (or higher); try to use Times New Roman or Arial fonts for the texts inside the figures.

4. Equations

Equations should be typed at separate lines and subsequently numbered by Arabic numerals in round brackets; the proper punctuation marks should be used after the equation with respect to the equation position in the text.

Į2+1/2c3=exp[(ΔΘ-E)/RT].šššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššššš (1)

Please note that Times New Roman font includes Greek letters and a lot of special symbols (ε≠ỹ≡ồ ≥h→∞); they are usually correctly converted into pdf format, while the use of equation editors does not guarantee proper result.

6. Conclusions

Following this instruction, the author will be able to create the proper Word rtf file and, using the Word-to-pdf converter, the pdf file. This pdf file will be the "camera-ready" version of the paper and it will be "as is" published in "Materials Physics and Mechanics" journal. Please note that the editorial office will not introduce any corrections or additions in this file; for this reason we are recommending to print it using laser white-and-black printer and to check the identity of the final pdf version to the initial Word text.
