Abstract

The atomic mechanisms of plastic deformation near the Ni-Al, Cu-Au, Ni-Fe coherent interphase boundaries in two-dimensional model are studied by the method of molecular dynamics. It is shown that plastic deformation near the interphase boundary is closely connected with misfit dislocations. Plastic shears and destruction of the bimetals are initiated near the misfit dislocations cores.
