EFFECT OF COOLING RATE ON THE CRYSTALLIZATION OF
ALUMINUM ALLOYS UNDER PRESSURE

Maksim S. Denisov

Abstract

The influence of pressure on the compressibility of liquid metal and the release of latent crystallization heat is studied. It is found that the pressure application combined with the cooling rate creates metastable structures. It can be used for improvement the properties of metals and alloys.
