Parveen Lata, Iqbal Kaur, Kulvinder Singh

Abstract

The present research deals with the mathematical modelling of two dimensional transversely isotropic magneto thermoelastic initially stressed solid due to time-harmonic source with generalized Lord-Shulman (LS) theory of thermoelasticity. The Fourier transform has been used to find the solution to the problem. The expressions for the displacement components, stress components, and temperature distribution are obtained in the transformed domain. The effect of time-harmonic source is depicted graphically on the resulting quantities.

Keywords: transversely isotropic Magneto thermoelastic, mechanical and thermal stresses, time-harmonic source
