| The present review presents a detail discussion of the phenomenon of magnetization reversal (or negative magnetization) phenomena. Avariety of magnetically ordered systems shows negative magnetization. However, this negative magnetization in these materials does not arise due to diamagnetism. Here we have focused a special group of ceramic oxides namely RTO3 (R=rare-earth, T=Cr/Mn). In these oxides sign of the magnetic moment reverses mainly due to negative exchange coupling among ferromagnetic/canted-antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic sublattices. Finally, the practical utilization of this type of materials is included in this review. |
